IGN.com is a great site, it's probably just what you're looking for. All the latest video game news (and some other interesting news too), rumors and release dates. IGN also got a great app, and you can follow them on twitter.
Also check out Gametrailers.com
Dont know many sites with technology news, but check out www.tomshardware.com
kotaku.com and tomshardware are EXACTLY was i had in mind !!
