Increase max fan speed?
My CPU fan runs at 1600rpm max and I was wondering if it is possible to increase this speed, maybe to 2000rpm? Thanks
Well i'm not completely sure but I'm pretty sure there are programs out there that allow you to ramp up the voltage to the fan itself. Google it. I'm sure you'll find something.
There is a tool called SpeedFan, I am sure that can do the job. However, if your problem is overheating and when the comp was new it was not overheating, you should just clean your fan/renew the thermal paste and it will be all good again.
A faster fan, is the best thing.
